I know the 1970 will be different, however... I NEED some pics of the reverse lock-out piece that bolts to the trans... Somehow, I have the triangular piece that bolts to the frame, but I believe i'm missing the piece that bolts to the trans.... HELP!!!
This is courtesy of M Lob.. This is what I have...one end slides into a triangular piece bolted to the frame (where the short spring is). What does the other end go to? There were 2 for 1969- one was a bracket bolted to the trans with a hollow semi-sphere.... and the other one is ????
Scott, The reverse rod from the shifter hooks up to the bottom of the reverse lever on the tail housing, and the back-drive rod hooks to the top of the reverse lever on the tail housing... This picture is for 1970-72 linkage, 1969 is different... Hope this helps... Crash
Are you still confused? In Marks picture, the "other" end goes to the bracket bolted to the bottom of the trans and that's it, nothing more to it. Notice the shifter rods are blackened steel and NOT CAD. Taken from an original car. I don't know when they started with CAD, but it was not in 69
I think there was a design change in 69. My manual shows a different set-up, yet I have what you posted. My car was a June 69 build.
George, I have the bracket and the rod from the reverse lever back to the equalizer if you need that... Crash crash_enterprises@yahoo.com
