I just purchased 1968 Skylark. The car is complete with the exception of a missing passenger side inner fender. It looks like this is a very hard part to find. I see that the 1970 inner fender is available. The parts look identical, is anyone aware if I can use the inner fender from a 1970 Skylark? Below are some pics I found. The primed one is the 68 the painted one is the 1970. Any advice would be great.
The outer wheelwell is shaped different; I don’t think you could make it work. If you find a ‘68-‘69 that has typical battery tray rust then I think you can use the tray repair panel to make it good enough for all but show. Patrick
Hey Daryl, Welcome to the Buick Forum! A lot of great people and advise here. Yes, I do believe you can only use a 68 or 69 inner fender. I have one, but no, I don't want to sell it. Selfish me. There is a guy on the forum called Cole. He has a lot of old parts. Another guy, GSFred might be able to help you. They are out there. Put a wanted ad on the forum. They will probably need the patch panel. I fiberglassed mine. By the time you put the battery tray in you don't really see the patch. Good luck! John
