I have listed for a friend a 1968 Buick GS 400 Carb on eBay. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MESE:IT&viewitem=&item=140164043928&rd=1 Thanks, jerseysky66
I wonder if it is a service replacement carb the julian date that is stamped on it is "2091" and that would be the 209th day of 1971. I am not being critical, just pointing something out :TU: :beers2:
That would be correct. And I believe that the carbs built in '68 didn't have the dates stamped on the body, but on the base plate. I have a 58k mile '68 GS400 convertible that's all original, including the Quadrajet with this scenario. Donny
I have a '68 430 carb on my GS and I was wondering why the date code was not there, I will have to check on the base. I know this carb is not original to my GS because I still have the recipt from the last owner when he traded the original carb in as a core for this one:af: That was back in 1979....
