Well, I finally got my meat hooks on a scanner. This being said I scanned the P&A Product Information #69-35. This would be the bulletin authorizing the use of 1970 coolant reservoirs on 68 and 69 cars. Also scanned the matching service bulletin. Notably, the Riviera isn't included. Hmmm. Anyway, enjoy!

    Whoa, thanks!! :TU:

Would it be possible to get the fullsize scans emailed? I'd like to print them out and insert them into my manuals. I have some nice thick stock with holes that'll work perfectly.

If I race at Musclepalooza in a few weeks at Lebanon Valley do they require a coolant overflow recovery system? If so, is there a stock system I can use on my 69? I never had one.

This is as close as we get Ken. Our cars didn't come with them and here's the docs proving Buick approved back fitting the 70 tanks.

BTW, are you still looking for decent sail panel boards?

The only problem you will have is with the AC lines. Some have to be FORCED out of the way a little for the overflow to fit. Otherwise they bolt right on. Frank

LOL Actually, I am. I'm just wondering if used is worth it. The new repros come wrapped in the material already and they're only like $40 or something. Why, you have black ones?

    Jim,

Which tank will fit our year though? In those pics it looks like there's two different tanks with the nipples on the end on one but on the side on the other. :Do No:

By the way Stage2, thanks for posting. :beers2:

I wouldn't mind getting emailed docs either if you had the time.

Ken, You can see it much better in the fullsize scans. The bottom illustration is for the big cars. The upper is for us. The 70 Lark/GS tank is shown.

Big thumbs up to Stage2 for these. :TU:

My sail panel boards are the light blue in decent shape. The replacements from legendary are nice and they mount with velcro tape included in the bag. Since the headliner was 1 shade off, I went ahead and got the sail panels too.

No problem. If you, or anybody else for that matter, wants the full sized scans just shoot me a PM with your email address.

One of the numbers comes back as a clear top 1970 model. I had no luck with the other one. If- IF- you wanted to be crazy original (sans Buick tri-shield decal), you can order this:

Very cheap, cheesy but correct (if it has the chrome support).

Talked to my friend who has a 72. He replaced his tank with a repro and he is going to give me his old one. If I can fit it right and it works ok, I'll buy the repro and put it in place as per these instructions.

I bought one of Frank's #2 white/black tanks and it looks great. I find it hard to believe this has a blem on it.

    Thanks again Frank.

So if I understand correctly I will need to find a reservoir as in the 2nd scan for a 68 Wildcat? Is that a one year only reservoir? (the one in my 71 Electra has other attaching points if I remember correctly)

Yup, it's a one year only reservoir, 1970 full size cars only. While an A body tank may work, as per the service bulletin it wouldn't be correct.
