You do realize i'd still like the car don't you? And I have this 69 Special you wouldn't feel guilty about putting that awesome motor in.

... I usually abide by the rules and don't post in for sale threads if it isn't on subject .. but I know how you've fought the decision to put that motor into that car and wanted you to know I was in a very similar situation - in fact, my car had almost the exact same mileage.

Here is a thread about that car ...

    http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?191675-A-69-Buick-FAST-and-FUN&highlight=goldie

and now, 6 or 7 years after selling it, I do regret not putting that built 455 in it and having 6 or 7 years of FUN. I sold it thinking it would never happen, it didn't for a couple of owners but then it did, however it is still being immensely enjoyed by by its current owner. Once you sell the car all bets are off as to its future.

If you are selling to buy another car to hop-up because this one is "too nice" ... my advice would be DONT !! This is the perfect car (non-GS) for you to have a lifetime's worth of fun in without worrying about hurting a real GS (although we both know low mile survivors of any A-body are rare and desireable). If you buy something not as nice as this you wont enjoy it as much.

... just one man's opinion - If you want me to delete this post, just ask and I will

Oh dude, sorry it's going. Really sorry it's going this year and not next, because next year right about this time we are paying off two rather large loans that are just ending, and having an extra $1200 a month would make this a no brainer.

Well, if it is still here in August of 2014, I'm your man.

  9. how about i sweeten the deal with a set of freshly powder coated 15x7 steel wheels and 4 show worthy dog dish caps. not enough you say?? ok lets add a 71 455 block with standard bore, standard crank and a nice rear sump oil pan. did i mention the 67 big port heads with rockers?

I suggest you quit muddying the water and sell the car and parts separately.
If that's what you really want to do.

  12. trust me, i'm about to start selling things one by one..

If you go that way I will take the exhaust kit.

Would you help with shipping the car? Like meet and load and paperwork? Would you pallet up the extras and ship?

  15. I think i'd rather hold out for a buyer who is close enough to come get in person. there are many many extra parts and shipping those could be a big task. engine trans, rear end etc etc.. I have no problem assisting with shipping of the car itself and have done so several times in the past.

Frank I have a guy with a 30ft car trailer that is 100% trust worthy and will look after everything for you with a on line gps so you can watch his every move and he is easy on the pocket book. If it helps you guys out let me know and I do what I can to help.

I'm confused, what is the price of the car then? Not stated anywhere here that I can figure out.
Doesn't appear that you really want to sell anything in my opinion or don't know what you want.
Won't ship? How else are you going to sell anything? Do it or don't!

His very last line of the very first post on this thread very clearly says.... $15,200 for everything.

I did see that, but as I asked, what is the price of the car?
Since he says he will sell parts separate, wouldn't that be a good thing to know?
Like I said, the waters are too muddy, just trying to help him out.

  20. When i am ready to sell the car separately i will make a new thread, for now it's listed for sale as a package. there are far to many large parts to realistically make shipping worthwhile. a complete engine, a spare engine, transmission, exhaust system, headers, rear end, radiator and boxes of new parts. great deal for somebody within a days drive looking for a screamin deal..
