Ray, How easy is it to convert it to a floor tilt column? I have a std 4 speed column that was from a car that burned. I have the collar but I dont know what else I would need.

So you did get the car. :TU:
I've never done it before. I looked at a floor shift tilt column that's out of a car but can't figure it out. Sorry.

    $500....only for floor shift tilts.
A column shift tilt is about $150-200 max.

    To convert......you have 2 choices:

    1. easy way, grind off mounting stub and use fiberglass or epoxy to fill in hole.
    2. proper way, disassemble column and swap the lower bowl from a floor shift column to column shift column.

George that would still leave the lever in the engine bay. I think I will try to transfer the good stuff to the burned out one.

Yeah and its bad. The knucklehead cut holes in the hole to make a ram air set up. Doesnt matter since the hood is toast. Now I see why it burned. I thought the air cleaner base would be good but its shot. It didnt have the GS rad but a small 2 core?

    What?????

When you put the car in park...it rotates the column inner sleeve to trigger the neutral safety switch. I don't know how your set-up is but you can easily make the one column you need from the two you have.

Wow was I drunk? I meant to type "that still leaves the shift lever in the engine bay".

If thats the case I will have to try that because I would really like a tilt floor shift column!

    Thanks
