Just picked up a 1967 Riviera GS that has sat for quite a few years. Very solid but previous owner could not find the keys. Is there a way to get keys made by the trim tag or vin? If not, how do I go about fixing this issue?

Here's what I did on my 64 Special- I don't know if this is true for 67's but the 64's had the same key for the drivers side door lock and the ignition. So I popped the door lock out of the door (it's just clipped to the inside of the door shell- must remove door panel) and found a locksmith that can make up old-school keys by bringing him the door lock. Cost 25 bucks.

    For '67
You may find that the trunk and glove box are keyed alike.
    and
the ignition and doors are keyed alike.

For '55 there was one key for all locks. That changed somewhere along the way.

Done this several times. Once its done have the locksmith give you the code for the key and write it on the owners manual or even engrave it on the inside of the glovebox door.( That saved the day once)
