Need to sell, but I hate to sell my 67 GS 400 project. Here is the skinny:

Unfortunately, no pics available for a couple of weeks, which Ill post as soon as I have them.

Little or no rust anywhere in the car, including trunk, floors, around windows, etc. It has the original paint and interior in decent shape for a 40-year old car. Pale green (Sea Foam?) factory paint that can probably be saved by buffing. The interior is also green. The front seats need to be recovered. The vinyl top is shot and needs to be replaced. There is no rust under it, it is simply completely dried and cracked beyond repair. No major dents or dings but it does have some parking lot acne. Grill is good though has some cracks. No pieces missing. All emblems and small parts are there inside and out. Glass is good all around. All lenses in good shape. Column shifted automatic, has speed alert, A/C and factory AM radio. No console.
Have all brackets and pulleys, fan, two different radiators.

There is no engine currently in the car but keep reading.

    What Ive done to it:

Complete rebuild on front end with all polyurethane bushings. New ball joints, new sway bar links and hardware. One coil trimmed from stock front springs. All new grease fittings and steering linkage, tie rod ends and adjusters. Rebuilt steering box w/fast ratio, 3 turns lock to lock.

Complete rebuild on brake system and changed over from 4-wheel drum to disk-drum. New booster and 2 circuit master cylinder, pads, calipers, rotors, bearings, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders and spring kits plus hardware.

VDO gauges mounted under dash Volts, water temp and oil pressure.
    5 AutoMeter Tach

    What it needs:

Engine wiring harness. Current one is fried, cut and patched.
    Believed to have factory T-400.
Rear-end is stock and NOT a posi. Unknown gear ratio.
Seats recovered, head liner replaced though loose seams may be fixable. No rips or tears, just seams coming loose.

Parts that go with the car:

Stock exhaust manifolds 1 or 2 sets
    HEI distributor.
Race level T-400 with 2 converters. One is 2500 stall, other is 3000 stall.
Two or three (dont remember for sure) oil pans.
At least one, possibly two sets of factory valve covers.
One set of four 14 Buick chrome rally wheels in decent shape
One set of four 15 Buick chrome rally wheels in decent shape

Your choice of ONE of the following engines:

    Unassembled 464 CI -
Fully prepped .040 over 455 block. Painted in & out. Cam bearings installed.
Forged TRW pistons hung on factory rods
    Total Seal Gapless Rings
    Clevite bearings
Factory crank, .010 on the mains and rod bearings, chamfered oil holes
TA 310 Cam, lifters & roller timing set
Stock replacement rockers, shafts and pushrods
67-68 430 big-port heads complete performance valve job and converted to Stage 1 valves and pocket ported by Mike at T/A Performance
    Factory 1970 455 intake manifold
    Main Stud kit not installed
    Head stud kit
TA Big Block front cover with oil pump & booster kit w/adjustable bypass installed by TA
    Complete gasket kit
Possibly other parts I forgot about

    OR

67 400 short block believed to be original to car. Have NOT verified engine numbers against VIN. Needs rebuilt.
    Stock balancer & Flex plate
    Turns freely
Has factory mounts still on it
This is the existing short block only and does not include heads, any tin or the front cover.

I will throw in a bare, uncut 455 block if you take the 400 engine

Car is located in Reno, NV and goes as a package only. Will not separate or part out. Possibly work a deal for everything.

    Price w/400 engine: $3500 - Very Firm
    Price w/464 engine: $5000 - Very Firm

Theres far, far more invested in the just the parts for the 464 than I am asking for car as it sits.

Post here then send me a PM or email directly to plsjr@comcast.net

    Tom Is First In Line

Tom posted first so we can start the line with him. I have to say I am more than pleasantly surprised at the response so far.

    What a great group.

Maybe I should have asked for more..... Just kidding.

For those asking for pics, sorry for the confusion. I don't have anything to send at this moment. I'll take some when I am in Reno in a couple of weeks but until then, there are none to send. Thanks

    Bummer!

I am sorry to say that the car is no longer for sale. Let me just say that it appears my girl likes the car more than she likes me. I've heard nothing else from her since I told her I was selling it and she has not let up until now.

    :spank:  :af: :blast: :Dou:

Again, I had every intent to sell it and it does belong to me and me alone. It's easier to keep it than to sell it.

    Let the flames begin.
