I've got to imagine this is a well known car to some: https://newyork.craigslist.org/wch/cto/d/1967-buick-grandsport-455/6443662839.html
That car would need a ALOT of updating and sorting out. The fuel pump hanging in the trunk would be the first thing to go.
I little of both. Seems a little rigged looking in the picture and I don't know hoe comfortable Id be with fuel lines and a fuel pump running in the trunk. Is that even NHRA legal?
Yes, it's perfectly legal. As long as there is a "bulkhead" or "firewall" between you and the pump. I would say the majority of pro built racecars have their fuel pump mounted "inside". Actually the most practical if you think about it. Keeps the pump itself safe and clean.
I bet through hp is not far off. That is a grudge car and street race car only. I know of a few of them with monster Buick engines that make crazy power. Money is not an object when they build. These type of cars do not race unless 20k or more is on the line.
The thing hanging off that brace, the tie wraps, the sloppy wiring, rubber hose and hose clamps don't give off a "pro build" vibe
Given the heart and soul of the thing is this apparent big power mill, you'd think they'd actually include an under hood pic or two...
