I wish I could be seriously interested right now. Hot rod budget will go up when the dodge is paid off, and the trailblazer is sold. For now too many payments in boring rigs to go that deep in a car like that. Might be a pretty good price on that car though.

  5. is this the car that Mitch up in seattle area had for sale?

No, that is a different one, but still for sale. That one also has buckets and isn't numbers matching, this is a bench seat #'s matching car.

Here is what he emailed to me:

This is all original motor and tranny never rebuilt. It has black bench seat. A/C blows very cold. At the base of the top where it meets the body in the back is some very small bubbles and a rust spot the size of a pencil eraser. The front left quarter panel has bumped something before because it is pushed in ever so slightly and I can see where the paint may have cracked. The trunk interior has very minor and light spots of rust in it and it has the original trunk mat and tire cover. I believe that some of the metal underneath has been repaired or replaced. A proffesional job done by the owner of westside classic buick on mainstreet in Glenwood who did my appraisal and he knows a lot about this car because he used to own it. He told me alot about this car, but that was a few years ago. I'll send more pics tommorrow. I think the odometer shows around 30,000 and the buick guy confirmed that it has turned over only once. My daytime phone number is 541-285-5122. My home number is 541-726-2820. I know for the times I'm asking the top of the price range, so I'll be open to offers. Thanks, Jake.

I'm a bit of a cheap SOB but it sounds very high for what the car is.
It is going to need some work.
Some people don't quite get that if it looks presentable as a driver, or if something is ugly, if it needs the same work it's pretty much got the same value.
Rust showing in the back by the window, trunk patch..... Fender tweaked, and the rest 42 years old.
A 67 GS 400 is a great car, but that sounds high for a car that needs a restore, and in the northwest when you see the rust you need to get on it, and Soon.

I agree with you David! Those are all reasons (plus no buckets) why the car is still in OR and not in WA.
