No. The tooling for the aluminum 215 block was sold to Rover back in 1963 after the last run of US made 215 blocks. In 1964 the sbb heads were aluminum but this being a '67 more than likely the heads are even cast iron.
The 300's were very popular in boats, that is def a 67 300. Somewhere in the files I have the info on the 300 used in the boats
Correct Craft made a few "Buick" themed boats in the 60's , 16 foot Skylark with the 225 V6 & 300 V8 , 19 foot Wildcat , 20 foot Riviera http://www.correctcraftfan.com/reference/brochures.asp Look at the 1966 & 1968 brochures.....
Pretty cool. I recall a member posting two NOS early 60's Buick small engines for sale. They were painted gray as I recall and there was discussion of reverse rotation engines. Would those have been for marine applications like this?
I saw an oyster boat years ago and it had a 430. What was cool was that it had a car cooling system. BIG radiator no fan. Just sitting out in the open. No saltwater getting into motor. Prob run forever..... Nailheads were done this way as well.....
Back in the late '50s or early '60s I went to the Motorama GM car show in Boston. There was a marine Nailhead on display. I also remember that it was painted red - pretty much the same red as was used on the '66 Nails, but this was years before 1966.
Some 430s got used in jet boats too.......they need a motor with lots and lots of torque. I would love to pull the 454 out of my boat and put a proper motor in the just ve way to hard to find or have made the wet manifolds
