I don't know if the Calif cars are different but it has the wrong venti-ports, wrong grille, wrong air cleaner.
Yes, all CA GS were based on the Special 2 door Post Coupe. I could see getting desperate on the seat covers since Legendary does not have the Special ones that should be used. Air cleaner is OK - Cali emissions on that standard style - vs GS 340 one that looks like the GTO chrome job (like I did on mine ) The Skylark grill is not even close to being as cool as the GS/Special grill.
Every GS340 I ever seen (including my own) has had the chrome Corvette/GTO style air cleaner with the louvered side vents.
Phil u are correct that the gs340 has the louvered breather as does my gs340 and every other original ive seen. The cali gs was just a special with gs badges and wheelwell trim. They used the same breather as the lark and special. Every cali car ive seen has the single snorkel breather
There's a big difference between a GS 340 and a California GS. The California GS does not come with a louvered air cleaner
I currently own a Cali GS and this car is correct except for the interior pattern on the seats. As someone stated - probably the Special Deluxe since Legendary doesn’t offer the base covers. I also have the Deluxe covers. Also the grill. Since the original is the same plastic grill as a GS 400 and is prone to breaking someone probably replaced it with a Skylark grill. Needs some work and cleanup but looks like a good buy by the pictures.
