1967 Buick Skylark rear window chrome and window

    Can someone tell me how to take the chrome and the rear window out as I have a rust problem

    The trim is held in by clips and has to be just popped off. Be careful not to twist or dent the trim, but it will come off with some working.

    The window can be removed with small length of wire. Wrap one end of the wire around a piece of wood, then thread the wire through the butyl tape (the tar around the window). Now wrap the open end of the wire around another stick of wood. Use the with to cut through the tape by sawing it back and forth as you pull around the window. takes about 10-20 minutes.

    there is also a special tool that u can purchase to cut the adhesive . may be safer to take it to a automotive window shop & have them remove the chrome & glass .
