Unless the car has an issue not revealed like hidden rust problems, ebay will net him more than the current asking price. A Shadow Turquoise/black bucket interior GS with headrests and recliner....it doesn't get any better than that as far as 67s go. Anyone interested better check this one out soon.
I just caught up with this thread and may have a couple of answers for earlier questions. 1) The question about the chrome around the headligts. What you see is correct, the headlight surrounds should be painted argent silver 2) The holes in the fender/door look like rivet holes for the aftermarket body side molding that had the aluminum channle rivited to the side then a colored keyed vinyl strip was inserted into the channel. One could assume that the channel is still to be attached. I don't remember a vinyl insert that would have matched this paint color. You'd have to go with a contrasting color. Mayber no acceptable colors were ever found. ?????? Ed
You are correct Ed.I spoke with Joe (owner) this evening. These where body side moldings that either the dealer sent out to have installed or previous owner installed.They where rivited in and had a black hard vinyl insert,maybe 5/8 of an inch wide.Joe had taken these out by drilling the rivets out before getting the car painted.The insert vinyl had shrunk and was not reusable. There has been much interest but no commitments.He is showing the car this weekend to a couple of potential buyers.I will list it on ebay next weekend if it's still available after this weekend. Here is a photo before the car was painted with the molding on.
