This 66 Cat definately has potential!!! It sports fairly desirable bodystyling and with a little tinkering, it could be a neet driver while being worked on: numbers matching 425 single 4v carter AFB. It RUNS, however will need a good thorough fuel system cleaning out before trusting any kind of road trip. I have heard it run albiet for a short time, NON SMOKER...not much extracarricular engine internal noises, and not long enuf to move under its own power. It was being driven buy the owners son for the past few years untill recently parked for alcohol induced intoxication mixed with violent drug reaction related influences while driving said vehicle. yea. that. Anyway, it needs tires, brake work, tranny flush, radiator flush etc..you all know the drill for a car thats been sitting a while.:spank: I cannot crawl under the car well enuf to inspect but I've been told it sports the original SP400 tranny... I havent moved it nor driven it to know for sure but was told it was a posi rear. It sports factory A/C, PW, PB, PS, power bench seat, approachable interior... dirty but but I think a good cleaning may just reveal a fairly decent interior...and the body WAS probably VERY nice at one time....however, the lack of any protection (wax) and an overabundance of NON-human interraction (just sitting) allowed this car to become just a bit more than a"wash'n go" project. Some rust thru on the weirdest places, ie: roof line? and across the trunk filler panel?? The bumpers, grille & tailights, were 'blacked out" by the son thinking it was cool...I'm sure you have questions..so ASK AWAY! I will answer as honestly as I can. Yes Louie...THANX for the reminder....I forgot to mention this W'Cat is one of the last of 7 cars this fello has or HAD....his health is deteriorating very rapidly...in fact...friday when I was there pulling a 73 455 out of his warehouse, I knocked on his door for about 5 minutes while he called his daughter in JACKSONVILLE, 5 hours away, INSISTING to her.."someone was breaking into his shop".... it was I. I had to explain to the security people WHO I was and WHY I was there.....finally the daughter confirmed my being there was a scheduled appointment her DAD forgot about. Sheeeesh. Me too-and I'm even a tad farther. The engine is red like a '66 425, but should have a qjet-the AFB was used with the 401-those engines were green. What's the engine code? that's on the pass side up front- across from the VIN that you shot a pic of. My other cats kinda blend in, but that yellow-would be hard to hide from the neighbors!

Hiya Wheelz. I saw that the engine is a match, but didn't see the code. MT is a 401-which is fine. The optional 425 would have been MW with the qjet. Gee, I've never had a Doraville cat-too bad it's yellow and you're down there-or I'm up here!
