Going through some of my parts and came across a fender trim piece that I am not sure what it goes to. I have marked on the back 1966 special but I look at pictures on the web and do not see any lower trim on those cars. I am thinking maybe it is from a 4 door Skylark. I have pictured the fender trim from a 2 door Skylark with the black painted line. The other piece is the same size but is raise in the area where the painted area is on the 2 door piece. Does anyone know what this piece is from? Thanks, Bob
Does anyone have a clue? It is the same exact dimensions as the 66 skylark piece? It it from a 67 skylark or special? How about a 66 or 67 special? Thanks, Bob
Walt, From the back it looks like stainless. I have a 66 skylark 2 door trim in my hand right now. I also have this other piece in my hand. They are the exact size. Same bend where the point is. Same angle where it meets the door trim. The difference is it has a raised section that runs the length of the piece opposed to the skylark piece where it is painted black and has two raised sections that run the length. I have marked on the back 66 special. I can not remember if I removed this from an old fender or picked it up somewhere. It was in my stash of Buick parts. What does 66 skylark 4 door trim look like? Thanks, Bob
The 4 door would use the same trim as the 2 door on the front fender, it's the same fender. Special didn't have any trim down on the rocker. My best guess it's for another A-body, but not Buick.
Walt, I believe I found out what it is from but still not 100 percent sure but looks almost exact. 1967 Cutlass Supreme. I can't find a great picture of this piece. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-OLDSM...m43663.l10137&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=true https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-CUTLA...h=item1c8f7fd716:g:cLgAAOSwAExZnzuQ:rk:9:pf:0 Thanks, Bob
That is a great picture. It does look like it. The only thing I can not see is the slight bend at the pointed section. Just like what our Skylark fender piece has. Thanks, Bob
