    I did the search and the more I read the more confused I got. That being said this is where I'm at. We are pulling the front clip off to make the a/c delete and BBB install easier. I figured while the front end is off I'd go with some power front disc brakes. New master and power booster and everything else needed. The car is a power drum car. I'm just looking for the most complete kit.

    Thanks,

    I'll be watching this one as well. But I want a front and back kit w/lines if anyone has that information.

    Thanks,

    Alan,
    First, the brake parts everyone sells come from the same distributor. That being said, heres what I can offer taylored to your specific car.

    Front disc kit includes;
    Spindles, splash shields, caliper brackets, calipers, pads, rotors, bearings, seals, dust caps, hoses, all hardware. Basically everything but the bearing grease.
    Underhood kit includes;
    Booster with Delco stamp, push rod with clevis, and check valve, master cylinder with bleeder screws, hold off valve as used on 1970 disc car mounted under the master cly.

    This is the easiest conversion for what you have.
    You will need to modify the hose to frame brackets ( very easy) or buy new ones for disc. You will also need to get the 3 tubes ( or fabricate yourself ) from the master cylinder to the frame mounted distribution block thats already on the car. Order the tubes for a 1970 Skylark.
    If you are replacing all the lines anyway go to the 71-72 style combination valve ( eliminates the under MC hold off valve) mounted on the frame below the master cylinder. This valve is close to the headers. Order tubes for 71-72 Skylark with disc.

    I suggest Classic tube if you can not do the plumbing yourself.

    PM sent with cost info

    Thanks
    Steve

    I would check out Right Stuff. They should have everything you need or just this mini kit if you want to get your own rotors, hoses, combo valve and master cylinder.

    Mini Kit: http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/afxmd

    Or a more complete kit that has all the parts you will need:

    Mostly Kit: http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/afxsd01c

    On top of that, they can sell you everything else you might need. I've had good luck with them and they have knowledgeable people you can talk to.

    Inline Tube is another that can probably provide all you need but I've not ordered much from them. Others may have feedback on them.

    The "mostly" kit is not power. It's manual disc.

    They do have all the components for whatever he may need and substituting a power master should be a wash.

    I was going to say contact piratejack.com, but since Steve is an MBM dealer I'd go with him!
