    Hello,
On the convertible 66, I need the support brackets attached to the convertible top cylinder. I had a prior post trying to buy and had a picture on post. Can send picture. Can you send pm typing on page very difficult and have to go very slowly. go figure. Now working fine. Please advise total cost for brackets on both sides of the car and shipping tbw to 30032 (Decatur GA). Thanks. I hit a brick wall on this car because I kept misplacing parts as it the case here. Don't get old an work on cars... LOL Abigbird

I called & told the owner I'd buy the car but have not heard back from him yet. I hope to pick it up tomorrow or Thursday.

I did tell the owner I wanted it, now I just have to make the time to go get it. Hope to have it home this week.
Thanks for your patience guys. If I didn't have to sleep or work, I could get something done.

If the intake is cast iron on a 300 I'll take it!

Lots of people wanting parts. Question is are you going to part it or fix it??

    Ok,
Got the car home yesterday. When I went to pick it up, the engine & trans was still in it. One of the yard employees sold this car to the yard on the condition that he gets to keep engine & trans. I tried to talk him out of it but no deal. I believe the engine was a 310? with a alum 4bbl intake but no carb. I believe it's right on the point of being a parts car, but some one could save it & it is pretty complete & fairly solid. It sat in a barn for a long time. It hit the yard about a month ago? It reeks of animal poo,so I haven't ventured into the interior much.
I'd like your guys' opinion on wheather to part it or sell it whole? Hate to kill another convertible. :(

That being said, I know it's worth more parted than whole & most likely what will happen. I need to learn what fair prices are on some of this stuff, so if someone that really knows the market on these cars could contact me I'd appreciate it.

Saving that car would be a whole lot of work and time and money and parts finding.........and its a mix of 66/67 parts. I say part it......but then I'm on the list for parts for my 67 convertible so I am biased.

It looks like any other 48 year old car that has been sitting inside a dirt floor barn. I'd hate to see it parted out. What's the core support and inner fenders look like? Are they solid? Probe around the rear quarters and see if they are rotten?

It would be a huge undertaking in time and $$ to restore that car to original. Mine is in MUCH better shape, and I'm starting to have doubts about the money pit.

I WOULD SAY PART IT OUT.

IF YOU DON"T THE NEXT GUY WILL!!

It looks like every other parts car I've had.
