    can anyone tell me the compression ratio of a 425 nailhead for '66?

    Advertised as 10.25 to one. Closer to 9.5 to one in reality.

    I heard it's 10.25 if you use the steel shim head gaskets.........but less if you use the thicker "permatorque" ones.

    9.5 is fine by me, I prefer to use the cheep gas anyway :grin:

    Beleive what nail head in a 67 tells you. advertised 10.25 to1, reality about 9.75 to 1 with thin steel head gaskets IF the heads havent been milled a bunch. Less with the thick gaskets. Thats why I dont worry about the cat pee gas. :pp if the eng was a 2 bbl eng with 9.5 advertised ,eaven less. :laugh:
