Getting ready to part this 66 CAT out, but I am not sure as to what the value of this engine? Complete engine with aluminum valve covers, chrome breather, q-jet, ST 400, 342 posi. Want to sell complete. :beers2:
    OPINONS APPRECIATED.

    Thanks Mel.

    Poppaluv I CALL WINNERS!!!

Complete front to back? Or complete drive train (eng, , tranny )?
The valve cvrs are worth $200-$400 . Engine combo $500-$1000 maybe. They are getting rare. Wish I could afford another!!!!!

Posi well, Sometimes thay go as high as $350-400. What is the code stamped on the bottom of the rear?
(I got mine off ebay for $275)
    But they're rare too.

BTW put me down for the posi or axle, should you sell.:TU:
    Was this a GS?

Real prob will be shipp. $ from the "great north"

When you decide what you think you want for the complete engine, I might be interested. Going to Syracuse for the big meet there in two and a half weeks. Could swing up there. Is the engine free or stuck or better yet running? Thanks, Don

    Ill echo what J-Pop said!
Is it a Wildcat GS??? Those came with the alum valve covers, chrome breather and 3.42 posi. It would be a shame to parts one of those cars out.
Nailheads: a few hundred $, depending on condition. Does it run??
    Valve covers: $200-350
    Q-jet intake: $150
    #7026240 Q-jet: $50 or more??
Chrome breather: depends on condition. $50-200.
    ST 400 trans:$200+

I'd suggest a min of $800 for the complete engine if it runs. More if the accessories are in extra-nice condition.

It is a complete 66 Wildcat GS badly rusted, it does not run but turns over looks like 98,000 on odometer. Has dealer installed emerg. flashers and spotlight. Was a sherriffs personal ride from upstate NY. ordered with the optional stuff.
    :puzzled:
Thanks for every one's replies Mel.

Unfortunately, I must bring my truck as I will be picking up some parts and bumpers. Sure wish I could take the Skylark conv. .Though it is not quite as fine as yours appears to be. I've been spending all my time and money on building the Henry J. I'll look forward to seeing you there. It's my first time.I have high hopes for a great show and time. Don:TU:

How much are you asking? It would look good in my '65 Lark.
