It looks like there was more than just one style of build sheet found in these cars....
In addition to the usual 4" x 8.5' body-build sheet with blocks of 'first group', 'second group', with letter/number codes, there appear to be some cars with assembly-line build sheets like those used in Chevelles of the era. These give much more detailed info, such as exactly which options were installed on the car, and which radiator, hose, driveshaft, springs, etc, etc, were used in the build. I guess it's more of an assembly-line build sheet, than it is the usual body-build sheets we are familier with.
So, does anyone else have one of these? I'm trying to research a car that may be a special-build, and could use more info....Thanks,

    Walt,
I have been trying to get some 66 build sheets to decode but so far I only have a copy of one sheet. The car was a special order hi-perf car built for some California dealers. If I could get some others I might be able to get somewhere with this.

    Here ya go Duane!

This is an example of what I've found in my 66's.....I believe it is the build sheet or broadcast sheet from Fisher body......I have others from 2 other cars, also built in Baltimore. I'll dig into my Fremont built car to see if I can find one, as well. I'll get some copies to you soon.

A Chevelle guy has been able to dicipher some of the info from these sheets. See the webpage at:

    Walt,
Thanks, I can start working on it. I have the same type of Buildsheet from my old 66 GS that was built in Wilmington, Delaware. I know the options that car came with. If you can let me know the options the car with that buildsheet had I can get started.

    Duane,
I also sent you one of those with a window sticker from my 4-speed convertible. Dan

    Dan,
When I looked in my buildsheet folder I found the info from the 4-speed conv. If you can list the options from the buildsheet you posted it would give me 3 to cross reference. Thanks again.

    Dan,
I started getting somewhere with your 66 Conv. buildsheet. I began cross-referencing my 66 info from olds, pontiac, chevy, and my own 66 GS and was able to decipher some of the codes. The copy of the buildsheet you sent is not very clear in some areas. If you could list the codes in the various "Option Groups" I can get further. (PS. The window sticker really helped.)

If anyone else has a 65-67 GS/Skylark buildsheet and can list the known options the car came with, it would be greatly appreciated.

When I started decoding the 70 buildsheets I needed about 30 to crossreference before I really got somewhere.
