1966 Buick Special Deluxe 464ci - asking $9900 A zillion new parts, just about everything is brand new. Most parts have less than 500 miles on them. All new suspension, brakes, 3.42 posi rear, rebuilt 464ci Buick motor and beefed up TH350 trans, headers and 3" exhaust all the way back. All of the hard work has been done. Handles just like a new car. I have over $15000 invested (probably more, I stopped counting). Most importantly, the car looks great and is fun to drive. And it's loud, mean and pretty quick. It's a sad day, I really didn't want to end up selling her! But we're looking to buy a nice piece of property on the east coast so sadly the Buick has to go. I will say that this board has been incredible with the great people that have helped me with my Buicks over the years. :Comp:
Ethan a few questions if you dont mind stage 1 or standard heads? what is aprox compression ratio what size rally wheels? rear sway bar? thanks, Bob
I Know a guy that owns a 1968 gs california special. he claims there is only 2300 ever made. i have never seen or heard of a gs calfornia special. it has quarter panel gs emblems, and a 350-4bbl. brown with tanish top. Has anyone seen this? or know anything about this?
Hey Bob, the motor has standard '72 heads. The motor was rebuilt by the previous owner, it has 10:1 forged pistons. I will look through the notes and receipts he gave me, I think it is close to 10:1. Rally wheels are 14's. No rear sway bar but there is a fat one in the front! Let me know if you have other questions. :TU:
I have all of the trim and moldings, they are in great condition. I had several extras and kept the best ones!
