Due to time constraints and the fact that I"m losing my space to work on the car, I need to move my 66' auto 401 GS. I purchased the car a couple years back from a little old lady that could no longer drive. Mechanically the car is sound....But it had a cheapo paint job on it. So I disassembled the car and had it soda blasted. The soda revealed some problems with the car. Apparently the little old lady had run the car down a fence and tore up the pass. side of the car. So, it had some half a$$ body repair done on it. The soda also revealed some rust areas known to be problems on these cars. The rear window area will need repair along with the lower portions of each quarter. The trunk area has some pitting and should probably also be replaced. Floor pan, doors, and fenders show no signs of rust whatsoever. I've enclosed a pic of the car when I purchased it and it's current condition. After the soda blast I had the car shot with some DP40 (I think) epoxy primer to seal it and prevent any rust. It needs body work, paint, and reassembly....I have every part that came off the car. Lower body trim, tailights, headlights, grille, bumpers, etc. The front bumper is fine...The rear needs straightening and a rechrome. Grille is also in good shape...I have a ton of pictures of the car and each individual part should I decide to part it. Really don't want to part or get rid of it, but need to make a move at this point. Asking $3500 cash...email me or post here for additional pics or info. If the car complete doesn't get any interest this week, I will be parting it out. So if you are looking for parts email me at sporter4001@bellsouth.net ...Thx Scott

Birmingham, Alabama....sorry forgot that little tidbit of info. BTW as you can see from the pics the car did not have the GS fender vents on it when I bought it. Apparently the car had two fenders put on it at some point and they left the vents off. I have a set of vents however and was planning to install them when it went to paint...

What a sin if that car gets parted out! I hope someone will love her back together!!

I second that emotion! This one is a twin to my 66, except mine has a light interior. I would hate to see another GS parted out, especially one that looks as solid as this car. Good luck, hope some one buys it and puts it back on the road.

Yea I definitely don't want to part it. In the process of starting a second business and need the storage. Do whatever I can to keep from parting it...May end up keeping it. We'll see...

Just MY opinion but if you bolt the parts back on and make it driveable again you'll have better luck . I know about selling a non running project ! Its tough
