I want to paint the engine on my project 66 Skylark.

It has a 300 and it looks like it is supposed to be painted blue :eek2:

Where can I buy this paint?

Hopefully I can find it for cheap :dollar:

    Please let me know.

    Thank you,

I bought four different cans from different sources trying to match the original color on my '67 300. None were an exact match. Funny how the amount of light makes each one look closer at times. I have a picture of a brake drum with a few of the choices on it - at home. I can post it this evening to help you decide which way to go.

    Take your pick!:
POR-15 has the Buick Green engine paint, but not in spray cans.

    Bill Hirsch....brush on or spray...

CARS sells it in spray cans...

Krylon has 2 greens, Alpine Green, and Ford Green. Neither are a perfect match for Buick green, but they are better than the blue all those people use.
Gesslers site carries Krylon, but I can't confirm if it matches.

    Thanks for all the posts

I just ordered a spray can from classicbuicks.com

I am getting ready to clean the engine compartment today. I just finished up fixing the rust by the windshield this weekend. I will detail the engine and fire wall and then the fenders can go on. Good thing the fenders don't need much work.

I will post a picture of my engine detailing when I finish
