Missing some important pics like the undercarriage and motor. Looks like a AC car too. Why only $25,000 though if it looks pretty good..
66-67 Olds A bodies were the oddest looking of all the GM A bodies. I'm not a fan but many people are.
I agree. Having owned more Olds than Buicks, but liking both makers equally, I like all of the 64-72 Cutlass / Skylark models pretty much evenly with the exception of 66-67. Those two years I vastly prefer the Buick. Not that the Olds are bad looking cars, I just find the Buick more aesthetically refined for those two years.
I agree, these 1966-1967 Oldsmobile 442 cars have very ugly /odd styling ,always thought they were hideous in every respect.
I like them fine. My Son's 66 I built for him 25 years ago is still here, and I have owned several 65, 66, 67 Oldsmobiles. The white 67 I had about 16 years ago is original paint, from CA. The white 67 also had the very rare "Turnpike Cruiser" option. Read about it here; 1967 OLDSMOBILE Cutlass Supreme Turnpike Cruiser 400 (oldsmobilesforever.com)
he sent me a engine photo. i was interest at first. no radio, sail panels coming apart. it's like putting a new suit on a bum it's still a bum
They were going for sometype of look, even on the 66 to 67 Toronado's. And even the later Toronado's. The same year Eldo's were really pretty. I would call it aggressive/ugly/mean??
no. he said engine was rebuilt i thought it would look nicer. is the switch pitch missing ? asked if it was a real 442 but he said it was't made in Lansing plant and you can't tell from the Ontario plant where it was made i think he said Ontario. it is a reasonable price.
The front emblem looks a little low. And usually people like to show the rear with the 442's sway bar and boxed control arms. Should be able to see a small glimse of it on one of the picks since it sit high at the back? If it doesn't have welded frame patches from rust or any other bad repairs underneath it might be worth something even if it wasn't a real 442? He's hiding something..
As noted it needs a 4 speed. I remember the 65 my dad had, it was white with a red interior, tri power, and 4 speed. Now the car my dad started to build a 66 that I will build to be the clone to the one I remember him having and telling me story's about.
