1966 340 ?

    I have two 66 lesabre 340 cid. the one has plugs on outside of heads by exhaust the other does not.is this for emissions ? there is no smog pump on engine.

    Well I'll take a wild guess, their for the A.I.R pump tubes were the air was injected into the exhaust stream:Do No:

    I was just trying to figure out why they were on this car when it did not have the rest of the smog stuff on it. my other two 340 engines does not have the same heads. one is a 66 and the other is a 67.i will dig a little deeper and find out where it was built.thank bob
