ANYONE SEEN IN PERSON OR CLOSE ? MIGHT MAKE A GREAT DAILY DRIVER http://thechevystore.com/1965-buick-special-wagon
How did he acomplish this "mod"? . . . . (Re: 1965 special wagon custom in portland) Dear NorCal.Buicknut and V-8 Buick longroof fans, . . . . As a owner of a much loved 1965 Buick Special that has been only lovingly upgraded - not molested. . . . I do find this one rather offensive :af:, but . . . . I wonder how this fellow got the speedometer to go from black with with light colored lettering to the reverse? Here is the relevant photo: It isn't that I would change my speedometer in this way, but I would be interested understanding the technique used to achieve this "mod" . . . . Cheers, Edouard :beer
Re: How did he acomplish this "mod"? . . . . (Re: 1965 special wagon custom in portla I'll take a wild guess and say he used paint. Neat car, but I don't like the interior. Horrible steering wheel, and door panels look like they belong in a Pontiac Aztec! The wood dash treatment just doesn't fit the rest of the interior. Do they want classy wood trim, or a ultra-modern funky look? Mixing it doesn't work for me. Someone put a lot of work into that ride, and did a nice job except (IMO) their choice of interior components. Bet it's a great driving car tho.
I'd take take wood grain crap off , different steering wheel , put back on moldings and a few odds and ends . I think would be a cool daily driver but if you look close at headlights alignment , rear bumper looks gold like not plated correctly few other thinks like he said roof looks ruff like needs to be color sanded . I'd want someone to look in person before spending that kind of coin .
Like it or not , you ain't building that car for that money . I could live with it . I would want to know more before I bought a plane ticket . Damn I wish I hadn't seen this . :spank: :beers2: Chuck
