Whats up! I just got a 1965 buick special and it's in need of some help. It needs an entire interior (door panels, rear panels, seats (frames). I mean it's gutted except for the dash parts thankfully. It does need 2 new front fenders as well. I'm located in vista, California. I'd prefer to buy locally but will pay for shipping if the parts are in great shape. Cash in hand and very motivated to get it back together. I've called turners auto salvage in Fresno. Hi, Not sure you're goal as Special has unique door panels, Special Deluxe uses Skylark post car panels, I've also seen hardtop door panels used in a post. Also post car panels from other 64/65 GM A-bodies will work as well. Regards, Jim
I should have added that it's a special deluxe. I was fine with some aluminum panels with kill mat on the back since it's going to be a racecar but other friends of mine have encouraged me to make it classy and fast. Picture of what's left of the door panel on pass side. Drivers side isn't much better.
Hi again, Those are the Special panels, although have seen them in the Special Deluxe as well, not sure what determined use, maybe availability? Those are not reproduced, race car you can get creative, or get a good upholstery shop and let them see what they can do Regards, Jim
