I bought a full door seal kit from OPGI. All the rubber parts work great, door seal, wing window, etc are fine. But... I can't seem to make the window felts they sent work. The pieces that came out of the door and the rear windows are the rubber wiper style and have some plastic bumper pieces that help center the window in the channel.

The parts from OPG are part number S220092 and are made by RePops. The picture on the OPG web page look nothing like the parts delivered. The stock pieces use the clips like shown in the picture, the pieces delivered were sent with some large industrial staples. The parts from OPG are also too short and I can't seem to find a reasonable way to attach the felts to the door frame.

Does anybody have any recommendations on a set of window felts that will fit and work?
Ausley's Chevelle, Eckler's Chevelle, Rubber the Right Way, Steele Rubber products, Year One all seem to carry the part, but also seem to use the same picture as OPGI.

I also had issues with the OPGI door cards, but managed to make them work. In particular the clips that hold the card to the door are wrong. Apparently Chevelles and according to OPGI they use a round plastic plug in the door and a matching spring clip in the pannel. My Buick uses an oval plug and clip.

I'm not concerned with making it a perfect restoration, but I want it to work right.

Opgi and many of the other vendors use a stock picture on all the sets. In my experience Opgi thinks because a part fits a Chev it fits a Buick. Very incorrect thinking.

Spend some time search the net. Call and talk to venders most are help full.

I would suggest checking out PUI and Steele. A few years ago I ran into the same thing on a ‘67. Finally figured out what I needed.

I could be wrong- but it appears the car has the chrome moulding or chro.me sash . In that case the weatherstrip attaches to the chrome strip
When I replaced strip on my 68/ thinking I was able to open chrome lip on replacement and remove it to fit car. Never did the door panels so can't say what will work. Tho I'm getting ready to do same thing on 68 HT. I just picked up set bought off bay was able to compare to 68 OG. bare door on porch. + replacement leftover strips dating from ragtop days. The set from bay specific to special molding on door. Equal in length to OG. and ragtop fuzzie. However the set from bay while ordered for SP molding was ordered specific for Buick but 69 so you get extra length.

Part number BU233A. Call Chad @ class tech cars. 540-896-5758. Mine should be here this week. I did the same thing freon year one. Turns out repop only sells to distributors. Tell Chad that Troy from Muricas Garage sent you.

Parts ordered. Can't wait to see how/if they fit.

I looked on your YouTube channel, but didn't see an episode where you installed them

New interior 2.jpg New interior.jpg New Window Felts 1.jpg New Window Felts 2.jpg New Window Felts 3.jpg Many thanks to Troys69GS for the correct part numbers. Won't say they fit like a glove, but they fit. A couple of hints/tips for those doing this in the future:
    1. You have to remove the rear interior panels to be able to install the screws in the rear outer felts, so you end up taking out the rear seat and both sets of side panels.
    2. You have to remove the front wing windows to install the front outer felts, which requires removing the main side windows.
    3. The little tabs, even hammered down with a punch, were not enough to keep the felt with the chrome trim piece so I had to use a little clear silicone to get the two pieces to stay together, front and rear
    4. There is one screw for the wing window that you cannot have full tight and still get the felt/chrome strip installed - backing it off a turn or so opens up just enough gap between the wing window and the inner door to slide the piece in

It was way more work than I expected, but the end results are good. Lots of little odd things that are different on the Buick vs a Chevelle. The door clips on a Buick are flat/oval, round on the Chevelle. The chrome trim for the door panel is different, so you have to drill your own mounting holes in the door card. The arm rests are different, I managed to find new pads, but could not find new bases. The holes for the Buick emblem are spaced differently.

So it is now drivable again for the summer. All new wiring harness, including switches, bulb sockets and connectors. Repaired, painted, insulated the floor. New carpet and padding. New seats out of a Scion TC - the slick thing about the seats are that all 4 of the mounting holes are in the same flat plane and the outer two took only a little bit of filing to match the existing stock bench seat holes in the floor. All new interior panels, replaced the rear ashtrays with cup holders. All new rubber seals, hood, doors, trunk and top. the console is out of the same Scion TC with some aluminum diamond plate painted to match.
