1965 Riviera, 401, all numbers matching, very original, more pics, $9000

All original matching numbers, 401ci single 4barrel, original seats, the only thing that isn't from the factory is the paint. aftermarket stereo added and hidden in glove compartment

the bad, paint is bubbling in small areas, the headlight motor is missing, the stock mag wheels need to be rechromed, all of the AC is included but not installed and the part in the grill is missing, the headliner is seporating at a seam but it comes with a replacement one, the drivers side window doesn't want to roll up and down on the track (but you can push it up or down and it will stay where you put it), some pitting on the chrome, and the rear door handles don't seem to work, it does not come with records

the good, a true survivor, very original car, still has the plate on the carb, the paint is still very glossy, very reliable, this car and engine combo just sold at Barrett-Jackson for $29,500, just a few small things would make this a show winner

I'm not motivated to sell it but I'll budge a little on the price, I'll reply to all serious offers, ask for a picture of anything and I'll post it up, thank you

    $9,000

  2. GS'sRULE

    GS'sRULE IZZY II AND IZZY 3 65GS's

its gotta be a gs for that price

I wish you luck selling this for $17,000...I would list it locally and park it in high traffic area in your home town...It may but it may not sell on this sight fior that price unless its a Gran Sport with all the gs options. Just my 2 cents, I do however want you to keep us posted and let us know if you got what you wanted for it. GO FAST WITH CLASS!!!!

Chad, hate to say it but i agree with you. Very nice car. Not 17,000 nice without being a GS. Tom

    ....

Barrett-Jackson does have a sale in south FL too. Hmmmmm, maybe you should take it there. Me personally, I've never let rich, drunken idiots dictate the value of anything. If they want to have a pissing contest, then go right ahead. They literally have more money then sense. I've seen New Orleans impound auctions bring STUPID money for roadside junk w/ liens that people went crazy over. That in no way raise my thoughts of what I could get out of something on the street. Boy, I sure wish I could get that much. :TU:

I go to the BJ auction each year (you'll usually see me on tv up on the block) I'm not a bidder but I go for my job

personally BJ only sets the market value for some cars, the 401 Riviera sold for only 1000 less than a Riviera GS, it just depends on who wants it then, and money is no object if your not buying for an investment, a car has to sell at a certain price a couple time for it to be a market value, so we'll see what happens with it

I'm a little more motivated and open to offers, PM me what your willing to pay for it

Jeff-you should add more pics. I also think that way more than a couple/few sales at one of the auctions sets a market $ number. A few operators 'selling' cars back and forth does not establish a true marketplace value for a car-good luck

    65 Riv odd request.

    Hi there,
I own what appears to be your sale car identical twin. Except with the 425 DQ. I know this may seem odd but could you send me the image of the interior driverside door. You see that is the first time I have seen a picture of a deluxe interior with manual windows. My resto guy and I are disscussing some interior work and this would help loads. Thank you in advance and good luck with the sale..........Dan

    Maybe it spammed me!
Engine shot and front view should do.
How does it run? Any leakage to speak of?
Mileage would be interesting too and any other mechanical info.
