Not quite, meaning it didn't come from Indiana, he didn't buy it from the original owner family, and it has 131k miles not 31k miles!
His mechanic is estimating the mileage at 31k based upon the lack of paint missing from the door due to the seatbelt hitting the door as it zips back into the holder. I'd bet few seabelts saw use in the 60's and 70's.
I guess he had to come up with something to rely on after the previous owner told him it was 131k and he didn't like that answer.:Smarty:
This is an example of how incorrect info gets passed along. The next owner will eventually sell the car as a 'low milage 31k' car and claim he's the 2nd owner... all because of an irresponsible used car salesman. .
He's grousing about the nonpaying previous bidder and he apparntly has ethical problems himself-looks like sales/marketing-and greed-wins out
