Saw this ad for a Riv in columbus, WI only $3,900. Any thoughts? Am looking to pick up my first old school Buick and am doing so on a limited budget. Was hoping for a 68 or 69 Skylark but am tempted by this one any advice to offer for a newbie?

If it is all there and doesn't have rust issues that isn't a bad price.

I think the fact that it's been posted for 20 days is a red flag. As is a lack of pictures. If it needs a carburetor, you can't hear it run, and then you have to assume the worst.

I'd take a look at it. If it did start and run, that is a good price.

I would assume there is an issue witht he car at that price since that is a very desirable year of Riv. Take a look at it I'm sure the pic makes it look better than what it is.

If I had a limited budget I would probably look into a car that is proven to run and drive. That is the safeest route if not you my be buying or opening a can of worms there.

Where at in IL are you?
