Nice car. Good luck with your plans. As far as lowering it, why not try 60 series tires? That will both lower the car a little and the overall gearing at the same time. On my '64 Wildcat I went with BFG 235/60R15s in front and 255/60R15s out back. I have a 3.07 rear axle but with the smaller diameter tires it is more like a 3.37
You'll not find much aftermarket support out there as others have mentioned.

240 degrees sounds really high. I had to have my radiator recored, even with a new fan clutch, and it wasn't cheap. A better option would be an aluminum radiator but none existed at the time I was struggling with overheating.

Take a look at some of my threads about my Wildcat. Many will apply to your Lesabre.

a 700r4 will not fit without serious modifications to the floor boards and linkages. I have a '64 electra with a 425 and am working through fitment issues as i speak.
I cannot speak for the 200r4 though.

If the engine is still original it has aluminum heads. 240 is on the warm side and those heads are not very forgiving to overheating. It would be good to get the temp under control.
