Here it is... My only issue is I would be afraid to drive a car restored to this degree.

    Location: Bucyrus, Ohio, 44820
    VIN #: 6J1017881
    Mileage: 6,203
    Transmission: Manual
    Condition: Mint
Exterior: Red with White Vinyl Top
    Interior: White Vinyl Buckets

    Seller’s Description:
I am selling this 1963 Buick Wildcat that I inherited from my brother who passed away in December. His taste in cars and mine were not quite the same therefore I am selling this 401 cubic inch, 4 speed, dual quad, positraction Buick Wildcat.

Before he passed he wrote as much information about this Buick that he could remember and gave me as many bills and receipts that he could find.

He never got to drive or ever ride in this Wildcat before he passed. It came home for the upholstery shop and went into the heated/ air conditioned garage where it stayed until I drove it to a local car show in June (total of 18 miles) in his memory. It has not been out since.

Now, about his Wildcat. It is believed to be one of 6 two door hardtops to be factory equipped with an OEM 4 speed transmission. When he got it it had Buick's OEM dual four barrel carburetors, with the huge factory air cleaner (which has been rechromed to "show chrome" condition. The body was stripped, primed, sealed and painted red. All the stainless trim were custom buffed and polished by John Matula of PSP Metal Polishing and the acres of factory chrome were plated to "show chrome " quality by Jon Wright's Custom Chrome Plating in Grafton, Ohio. It has a new tinted windshield.

The suspension has been rebuilt and Addco front and rear sway bars were added to improve the handling.

This Wildcat has OEM buick finned Aluminum brake drums.

When he purchased this Wildcat it came with Buick OEM Road Wheels which have been reconditioned to better than new condition. He added the Diamondback Classics Redline tires for his own personal taste.

The engine is an original matching number unit with slightly hotter cam ( I have the spec sheet for this cam). Cast aluminum valve cover are OEM Buick. The dual quads have been professional rebuilt and that huge air cleaner has been "show chromed" The factory exhaust manifolds have been coated by Performance Coating Inc.

    The rear end is a 3.41 posi-traction.

Dash and Gauges were refurbished by Instrument Specialties, INC. All gauges (including the factory tach), radio power antenna and vacuum trunk release work perfectly including the 4-way power driver's seat. I can not tell you anything about the odometer reading except what it says now, I do not know what it was when my brother purchased the car. This Wildcat has working speed warning option. working power antenna, and tilt steering wheel. Even the green "COLD" light comes on when the engine is first started and is cold. Clock and tachometer also work.

With this Wildcat is a 5th Buick Roadwheel that he had planned to used for the spare tire, but he never got to it: he also ordered 2 Waldron Stainless Steel tail pipes that that go with the car but are not installed. I also found the exhaust resonators ( he put on a straight pipe to eliminate them) they look new.

This could quite possibly be the rarest and finest 1963 Buick Wildcat out there.

If you like 1960's pre-muscle cars like 409 chevys, 406 Fords, 421 Pontiacs, and 413 Mopars this could the one for you, as it is very close to being perfect and much much more rare.

You WILL have the only one at any show you attend and it is an outstanding example.

All paper work that I have goes with the car.

    Price: $46,000 negotiable

Looks like the car that was sold in Oregon a few years ago. It didn't have the carbs or wheels. You couldn't get the wheels or super wildcat option until 64. Nice car....

Factory dual carbs on a 401? I thought they were always on 425s.

Is that pedal set up staggered like that from the factory? The clutch pedal looks lower and closer than the brake.

Yes, the clutch and brake pedals mount on different pivots for power brake cars. Manual brake pedals have more conventional common pivot.

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

If it was red, had a 2x4 nailhead with white interior, and a 4 speed with 3.41 posi, I would want it.

I got the money, but I would have to knock out the wall between the living room and the dining room, put an overhead door in the front of the house, and HOA would probably send me a nasty letter...

WOW! What a nice Kitty Kat! I want to say the hood piece is there but is body color! My buddy had a 63 cat also with the painted hood trim ( body color)! and on his car it was correct! Something about a early car and possibly plant specific!? Have to ask him if I get a chance! He sold it to a guy across the pond! Insure it to the utmost and drive it! We are only here once!

I may be asked to look at this car for a friend of mine. I want to be able to verify it is truly a matching numbers drive train. I imagine the vin # will be on the motor / tranny but I am not sure where, and I am not sure what the code # for a posi rear in this car would be and where it may be stamped on the rear. Thanks in advance for any help someone may have on this.
