Hi there. Im a new buick owner and as far as i know my car comes with a 401 nailhead. correct me if im wrong :) i am having problems getting a spark. I have tried everything and now im scouring the internet for answers before i have to chunk up the dough and take it to a mechanic.
I have replaced the sparkplugs, sparkplugwires, ignition coil, distributor coil, distributor cap, rotor, breakerpoints and condenser. The engine turns over and the rotor spins but there is still no spark. Please help me. I love my 1964 Wildcat and i just want it running so i can get on with restoring her.

Check for power to the coil (+ side). If necessary run a jumper wire, then make sure you connected the wire from the coil (-) to the points, point gap (.016 to .019) for starters. It should spark! Good luck,:) Frank
