    I have just got a 1964 Buick Skylark with a Fireball V6.
On the back of the carb is a rubber and metal tube that runs down towards the tranny.
The metal tube is broken and I do not know where it connects.
There is a metal tube that runs from the trany up to the engine already, so the one from the carb I'm not sure where it goes.
    Can some one help???
    Thanks a lot
    Alan

I am not sure without seeing exactly what you are talking about but it may be the tube that comes out of the carb and then a rubber hose connects to it that goes to the PCV valve in the top of the valvecover,if you could post a pic I am sure someone can help but I am leaning towards the PCV valve.Goodluck.

Hey that might be the vacum line to the transmission modulator...The rubber bit from the carb goes into a thin steel tube down to another short rubber tube that goes to the modulator....The steel tube is about an 1/8" od ..you should be able to find a piece of that easily enough, even off another auto trans :beer

On the 64 v6 I just pulled , that line went to the exhaust manifold , connected to a pipe that ran through the exhaust manifold to carry heated air to Carb. There was a small section of rubber hose where the line met the Carb.
