Beautiful job! It even matches your neighbors trees across the street, lol. You should be proud.

Yes! I envy and admire your craftsmanship. Beautiful job and can't wait to see it once it's sanded and buffed!

It's funny I was thinking how cool the car looked with the trees too. Those trees got major trimming after the photo. Covered up his house too much but it worked for me. :kodak:

I have never cut and buffed before. I should have my head examined for doing this to my new paint but I had some dry spots and some orange peel from poor light spots in my garage make shift paint booth. What a mess and the hours of sanding is overwhelming.

On the bright side, I am done sanding and I didn't cut through the clear anywhere. :beer

But it's going to look like glass when you're done. Still excited to see the results.

    A glass mirror.

Check out the quarter that I thought I had wrecked when I cut it wrong.

From this patch job from a 4 door...

The trunk lid was originally lumpy...

Look at the mirror on both the quarter and the trunk. It was a huge effort but WOW I have to break my arm patting myself on the back with this one. I'm shocked it turned out so well.

    Thank you guys!

I did cut through the paint on the top of the drivers door and the other door has a bad goober in the middle of it that I can't buff out so I will repaint both doors this weekend. I also cut through the paint on the underside of the eye brows so I will mist some paint under there while I'm at it. Hopefully I can finish up the rest of the buffing soon so I can install the chrome, stainless and glass.

    More final assembly... :beers2:

I finished re-painting the doors, all paint is sanded and should be finished buffing today. My wife's sport ute needed a windshield so I had TeckniGlass come to the house to install both. The glass for the Skylark was $68 plus $75 install, taxes and fees all total $168 :eek2: WAY COOL. Buffed up a few stainless parts and started installing some shinny stuff but still have not gotten the tail light back from the chrome shop.

The front bumper went back in place perfectly (and no chips in the paint). The rear is fighting me to go all the way back up tight since the chrome shops error of straightened it back to factory spec. It's still hitting in spots and I don't want to beat on it anymore so I am going to leave it with a little gap.

I also finished up the tail pipes and tips. Those big tips are a little bold and in your face (that is what I was after) but they may be sticking out too far.

The bumper fit on that is truly amazing. Looks so Foose, lol. Great job Brian.

Bumper fit looks fantastic, exhaust tips look fine too. Excellent work, too bad they never looked that good from the factory (or even close). :TU:

Thank you! The shine is a first for me. I have never cut and polished a car before. Lots of work but worth it.

"Looks so Foose", what an honor, Thanks. All those episodes of Overhaulen paid off.

I'm glad you like the tips. The bodywork was pretty poor from the GM plant. The tail on this car was off to the left and body sat sideways on the frame. New and improved. Thanks

Worked for 6 hours to do one wing window. WOW, that was loads more work than I thought it would be. Spanked me good.

Pulled apart to polish the stainless and replace new rubber.

Check out the tack that someone used for the wing window latch. They drilled extra holes in it rather than use the original pin. Nice.

    All done and shined up.

Close up of modified door and A-pillar.

My TMI Products Sport R Seat covers and foam arrived! A few weeks ago I talked to Tim at TMI and he agreed to make a custom seat cover for my car. The front buckets are from a 67 Impala. I wanted to keep some of the 64 look with the vertical lines so they used the patterns from a 68 Chevelle. I had them do dark burgundy thread around the edge and swede in the centers and bolsters.

Stripped down the passenger bucket and found one broken spring. Not bad since I have done a few in the past with many broken springs.
