Hi guys, A buddy of mine knows I'm into Buicks and found this at a local antique store he didn't remember what year Skylark I had but bought it anyways. it's a 4-page ad on the NEW Buicks for 1964 with some decent color pictures of a Wildcat, Electra 225, lesabre, Skylark and Special. The Wildcat add as you can see is a two page spread. One page is 13"x11" so it's a pretty decent sized picture! I scanned these in as low quality jpegs. It's all sort of attached together with tape. $6 plus shipping for the hardcopy make some small donation to v8buick and I'll copy them in high-res and email them to you. The Full Size Buick Registry has both Libraries and Galleries for things like this, lots of ads, factory photos , postcard there already but not this one --- would be nice to share it there. We have permission from GM archive to post this sort of stuff -its fine to sell originals and to share digitally like you suggest as long as it not for profit and no membership are required -and they are marked Copy right GM corp, The archive was very clear that creative common license does not apply to the people,models/places in the ads The donation being a requirement is kinda grey - better to encourage donation then require it.
yea, I know I'm fine selling it out right, and I hope what I wrote didn't come off as requiring a donation merely as a suggestion to help support this wonderful site (I wouldn't even have a way of know if some did or not) :TU:
