This is a factory-rebuilt carb for all 1964 BUICK models with 401 engine. Carter number 3633S. 625 CFM. Still in the original rebuilder's box. I bought this for a project over 25 years ago, thinking it would also be correct for my '63 RIVIERA. Of course, I eventually learned that wasn't the case.

This factory rebuilt carb has never been mounted since I purchased it back in the day. It's been kept in its original factory box in climate-controlled storage ever since. This carb is in good condition, of course. I would note that the front flat area of the carb base has the usual marking from the carb originally having been run with a deteriorated (or no) stainless steel base plate (shown in the last photo). This area should pose no problem when a new stainless steel base plate is used during installation, along with a new carb base gasket. Please note this never-used rebuilt Carter AFB is being sold without an air cleaner hold down stud. This is the way the carb came out of the box. IF I can find one among my stuff, I'll be happy to include it with this carb.

No core needed. That should be a real positive, if you don't have one, or want to keep the carb you currently have as a spare. Since I didn't personally rebuilt this unit, and because of its age, this carb is being sold "as-is", with no returns. I would state however, that I have no reason to think this factory-rebuilt carb won't be just fine.

The price is $385, plus the cost of shipping. I'll be packing it in double box for safe traveling. Thanks for looking. John
