1963 Wildcat Chassis number stampings

    I have had on or more 1963 Buicks for more than 25 years, but have never noticed these number stampings before. They are located on the right side frame rail, underneath the rear bumper bracket. I am going to assume the top number is the build date/ shift and the bottom is the chassis part number, but what is Parish? was that a sub contractor chassis manufacturer? Both of my 63's have the "Parish" stamping. ? ----Chris

    PARISH is the manufacturer of the chassis.
    Parish Pressed Steel or PPS.

    Thanks Erik! I figured that's what it was. It was right there and I never saw it.
