I haven't yet, but alot of '59-'64 Impala guys run there stuff. From what I've heard they have had nothing but good things to say. They have more stuff on their website; www.umiperformance.com . I plan on running there full rear end setup (upper/lower control arms & panhard bar) when I get around to installing a Currie crate Ford 9in and an Air Ride setup.
its not that i'm fast enough to need good new suspension, but when there are new parts with new bushings for our cars you almost have to buy them
There is one problem with using their LCA's in a stock application. On the '59-'64 GM B-Bodies the shocks are attached to a bracket coming off the LCA bracket on the axle tube. Our cars, at least my '62, has the shock mounts on a bracket coming off the LCA it-self. So, using their LCA's in a stock application leaves you w/o any mounts for the shocks.
Just curious, does any one have access to the part numbers of the UCA/LCA's and panhard bar of both a '62 fullsize Buick and a '62 fullsize Chevy? Although both cars are very similar and are both built on the B-Body platform, the more I research this the more differences I begin to find.
Jake, Looks like what you gain here is hard suspension bushings and the ability to grease them. The Chevy set up looks very similar to the Buick set up, but I would bet there is little interchangability. I have always kept an eye on ebay and other vendors and made some purchases based on projections, not current need as the Buicks are just not that well supported in the aftermarket. If they were, everyone would own them, not just us cool guys!! LOL! Tim
