My son here in Western Australia has one. Had it for about 6 months. It's been here in Australia for about 10 years. Funnily enough I had some interest in it before the previous owner to my son bought it. But because it was on the other side of the country I could not get anyone to look at it for me.
It became available again so we thought it would be a good starter Buick for him. It had some restoration work done to it before export down under and the previous owner did a few minor repairs, nothing major except new radiator and ball joints.
We are gradually repairing and improving it as he drives and enjoys it. So far we have replaced front and rear springs / shocks , rebuilt the drag link, repaired some instruments / switches not working. I spent considerable time and effort touching up the paintwork and buffing and polishing the whole body. Got a set of Rally covers from member Robert in Vancouver. Currently replacing lifters/ top end gaskets. Next is de-grease engine and remove oil pan and timing cover to replace gaskets and to also clean oil pump screen and possibly rebuild pump ?
As always, very appreciative of advice and help from members here.

Your Wildcat looks great Ken. I noticed that somebody replaced the headliner, guess the old material just fell into pieces. Do you know of any more 62 WC in Australia???

According to the Buick Club of Australia, this is the only 1962 Wildcat listed. My son is very happy with it, after some early hiccups with delivery and repairs needed for registration. As I mentioned, it's work in progress. As for the headliner, it was replaced in the USA at some stage and still had the original plastic bows although they were in very poor condition, cracked / warped and pieces missing. And chrome worn off. So I took them all off and replaced them with an adhesive backed chrome strip bought off Ebay. It looks very good now. Had no choice really as good replacements or NOS are unobtainium.
And your car looks fantastic. Painted in my favourite Buick colour of all time. :TU:
