That's interesting. Posi should have been standard on the Wildcat.

I sense some mis-communication, so I'm asking for Wheelz.... this spare console does NOT include the shifter, correct? $175 for this one.
Complete console with shifter (in car) and steering column was listed for $500.

    dedsleds KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

YES THERE WAS A SHIFTER AND WENT OUT IN ANOTHER BOX, SO BASICALLY IT WAS A CONSOLE/SHIFTER SETUP, NO LINKAGE TO TRANS...

HMMMMMMM, WELL I HAD THE CAR IN THE AIR AND ONE WHEEL SPINS AND THE OTHER DOESN'T, DIDN'T NOTICE AN X NEAR FILLER PLUG EITHER....LOOKS ORIGINAL TO ME.....

The X should be on the bottom of the pumkin, on that little lip of the mounting flange. The spare unit I have on the bench has the X on the side opposite of the filler plug. Of course, I'm not sure all pumpkins had that X either.

If it's an open rear, wouldn't the other wheel spin in the opposite direction, rather than not spin at all? Perhaps its just worn out?

YES actually it did spin in the other direction. i will inspect closer the section around plug for the X...but i don't see it. i thought it may have been worn out also, because one wheel spun backwards on one side and on the other side the wheel didn't spin at all (jumping back and forth spinning l/r right wheels seperately). i was hoping for a posi...it's looing that way though...

Pretty easy to remove 2 nuts on lower control arm and Big nut on frame. I thought it was a chore until I took mine off to change the bushings, wasn't bad at all!
