Could someone who has used the 1961-67 Buick green engine paint (spray can and quarts) from CARS please comment? I'm especially interested in knowing if the color replicates the original engine paint fairly well. Thanks for the help! Best, John in Wisconsin

Looked good enough for me, but I'm not into concourse restoration.

I'll try to get a photo of my manifold this weekend and post it.

I got the one on the left from Classic Buicks. It turned out to be FORD green once I decoded the Dupli-Color number on the bottom of the can.

The one on the right came from Year One, but is actually the CARS product (they strategically cut out the logos from the label).

Based on the light you throw at it, they each come close at times. I found the CARS product to be a little dark to start with, so I figure it will only get darker with heat and age. Same with the Dupli-Color, but I think if it darkens a bit after use, it would come closer IMHO.

I think the Detroit Diesel green from Duplicolor is a pretty close match.

This is the nicest stuff I have used. I like the spray nozzle on the Hirsch products now. Cars stuff has worked very well too.
