Actually went and looked at this while I was up in AK last week. Good new cheaper paint, glass all mint, all trim and chrome are in enviable condition, car is probably worth it just for the body. Supposedly runs great but lost reverse, definitely worth the coin if you don't mind doing a custom interior because what is there needs to be redone and I can tell you getting the correct factory materials is $$$$$$$$. I've got the guy's number if anyone is interested. I'll post the few pics I took also: https://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/d/anchorage-cadillac-1960-have-to-see-to/7175687021.html Cadillac 1960 have to see to appreciate - $9,999 (Anchorage) image 1 of 3 © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap 639 w 74th near Arctic (google map) 1960 cadillac deville condition: excellent cylinders: 8 cylinders delivery available drive: fwd fuel: gas paint color: red size: full-size title status: clean transmission: automatic type: sedan Beautiful 1960 Cadillac come over and see this classic. I like yours better, Lucas. It has a better stealth factor. This one would be kind of noticeable 10 over on the highway.
If this one wasn't sitting in Anchorage and the guy had his phone number posted, I'm quite sure it'd be gone. We had to just show up at his house and yell from outside the fence for someone to come out (Alaskans are a private group that don't like outsiders). The chrome, stainless, and glass are worth close to what he's asking. If I didn't have mine already, I would've bought it. I thought about it anyway to build a real hot rod with a 472 or 500. It's probably the best real deal on a '59 or '60 out there right now. EDIT: Them being private people is also why I didn't just post his phone number. I promised him if I came across somebody who was really serious, only then would I give his number to them.
I think the color combo on your car Lucas is waaaaaaaaaay better looking than this one IMHO. I usually really like a red car but this one doesn't do it for me. That being said, it's still a smokin' deal for a '60 coupe and it will likely sell quickly for the owner. Nice car!
Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments. I'm not really into the plain jane red either, but it would make a wicked lowered/mini-tubbed ride with a 500 hp/700 ft.-lbs. Caddy engine. I would have gotten it and had 20k to burn over my car, but I definitely like mine better for sure. This red one is just a couple blocks away from my little brother's shop up there.
