Should I keep the 364 or put a 401 in it?

I'm looking at getting a 1960 Buick LeSabre 4 door hardtop. It needs a new interior and i have no idea where to get all the stuff. Also how good is the 364? Should I look into getting a 401 and putting it in it?:Do No:

In as much as I am a Riviera man, I have always desired to own a '59 or '60. Love the fins. My dream was to put in a dual four barrel 425. Heck, I almost put one into a ford wagon once!:Brow:

Therefore, I'd go with the 401 if a 425 was not available. If you want it to haul a$$ a little more, and have some money to spend, get it stroked and bored!

As far as the interior goes, since you may not be using the stock motor anyway, go with a nice custom interior. Don't go overboard with it though, overkill will spoil a good interior job.:)

I was thinkin about puttin' a custom interior in it, but I don't have any idea where to start or how much it will end up costing. I had thought that whatever engine i put in it i would drive it like it is but have the 401 or 425 and be customizing it, but whichever one i do i am going to do either dual quads or tri-power.

Just put a 66 401 in my 60 225 Cov. The old block was junk. You will need a 401 out of a dinaflow. The back of the crank is not the same. Or acrank out of one to put in the newer motors. Also had to weld a stud on so started would work f ind a 401 out of 63 or later I thank . Also the pick up tube need bent because the pans are not the same .Iam not sure when they change the oil pump location? It not a bolt in. Gary.

My opinion is to keep looking. My brother had a 60 Invicta convertible back in the 60s and it was awesome. Patience is a virtue to find what you want the first time around.

On the other hand, if this four door is the dream car go for it.

Would it be easier to get a 401 out of a '60? This one has everything done exept the interior and the 401. I think I'm gonna get it because this way it'll be how i like it when it's done.
