1956 Ford with 340 Buick

    As some of you may know I haul for USHIP, just took a 1956 Ford Fairlane 2 dr from just west of Gainsville FLA.TO Dallas TX with 340 Buick engine 300 trans, Wanted to take photos but BATTERE DEAD IN CAMERA, Anyone know the car???

    I put a 322, then a 264 into a '55 Ford. It's the same chassis. Anyone who can put a normal engine into one of those chassis has my respect. It was by far the toughest swap that I ever did. The 340 would probably be even more difficult then the Nailhead, although the left-side starter on the Nailhead made a hydraulic clutch mandatory. The '55-'56 Fords were gorgeous, but total mechanical and electrical POS.
