That engine with an automatic, slower than the second coming, and no power steering. Suddenly it's 1936... The 56 Chev was the best styled out of the 3 year run IMHO, the 57 was iconic long after it fizzled on the sales floor. There's a reason why there are more 57 Chevs around than were ever built. However, the 56 is the cleanest interpretation and probably the scarcest out of the triple-5 series; with a V-8 this would go a long way, but with a 6, very limited. The Nomad is much more desirable.
I like it. Up here you'd probably need to put snow shoes on the roof rack in place of the surfboard. We don't have any oceans in Illinois
