I have been chasing down a noisy lifter and today I took off the valve cover on the drivers side, then the rockers to check the push rods. I found that the second valve closest to the front seat had a bent push rod. I put the rockers back on a started the car without the valve cover to find that valve is not moving at all. Is that intake or exhaust? Can I free up the valve and replace the push rod? I dont have the money to do a complete valve job.
