Any value to a four barrel & manifold for a 53 nailhead?
car is a 4 port hole hardtop in horrible condition.
might try the Buick forum later.

    thanks

    Gary,
If it is a 53 2dr hdtp with 4 holes on the front fender, its a roadmaster and shares many parts with the 53 Buick Skylark .
I would say $100 to 150+ for the setup . Other good parts would be the valve covers, spark plug covers, valley cover etc.
A good place to sell parts would be the BCA board, some things interchange with 54 buicks .

That manifold will fit any 322 and 264, 1953-1956

Like Bill said plug covers are a big item, many were thrown away. 1953 V8 plug covers are for '53 only.

(but the '53 plug covers will fit 54-56. Although, 54-56 have different covers)

The '53 322 is the least desirable of the early Buick engines. They had some issues, and didn't make as much power as the later Nailheads. I once replaced a '53 322 with a '55 264, Installed the '53 4 bbl manifold and carb (all 264s left the factory with 2 bbl carburetors) and gained significant power. I would grab whatever you can from that '53 engine. The thermostat housing and water manifold, the timing cover, and the oil pan and oil pump pickup have value as well. Heck, grab the whole engine if you can. Anyone doing a serious restoration on a '53 would want some of these parts.

Pull the cover off the rear of the diff (drain oil 1st) and check the numbers stamped on the ring gear. if the ratio is 3.2x:1 I want the complete diff...
Looking for some Buick 3.22/3.23 gears to fit a 52 Special rear axle. Prefer the complete diff w/carrier, bearings, and gears. I heard tell these came optional in the 1953 Super (Series 50) 2nd type, and 1953 Roadmaster (Series 70). Thanks! John
